Inspiration: Sophie Calle’s project Moi Aussi, where she kept unopened the 318 birthday presents she received during 14 years and then compared those those to the thousands of gifts president Francois Mitterand received during his two mandates.

I love gifting. Not so good at remembering 😅

A mechanical penguin made by an old man who has been making store windows displays for decades. It was the least baby proofed gift Tsipi received when she was born but one of the things she loves the most now! The friends who sent it are artists, and it makes me believe that artists know kids’ hearts better than anyone else.

I keep a folder with all my gift ideas (mostly to avoid memory failure)

Pencil is called Uni Kuru Toga Slide Pipe (!). Customised belt by ErnestWalker is also a winner 👌

I love wrapping personal touches into the wrapping. Sometimes I collage old newspapers/mags. Do you get creative with wrapping?

Wrapping gifts for a one year old who will probably not even notice :)

Gift wrapping is all about being resourceful in our household 😂

@elenistefanou has a folder of gifts ideas and I have a box of ‘gift accessories’ to wrap and decorate the gifts. Collecting those elements (embroidery thread, ribbons, silk papers, Japanese tapes) really is part of the gifting ritual for me.
