Inhotim is a giant garden / museum / art park in the Amazon in Brazil. There’s so much art, and I was super impressed by the quality! This is in Doig Aitken’s work which allows you to hear the sound of the center of the earth (he dug a giant hole and amplified the sound). Janet Cardiff’s installation was also brilliant, don’t miss it!

Through a gift of luck, I was able to tour Cy Twombly’s old apartment in Rome. It’s full of Rauschenberg’s, Matisse’s, and artifacts from around the world. One of the most special experiences in my life, hands down.

The only museum in the world dedicated to James Turrell is in an incredibly difficult to reach town in the Andes of Argentina. It’s on the same grounds as the highest altitude winery in the world. The art, the wine, and the resort are absolutely worth the trek !

A trip I hope every art lover gets to make is to Walter de Maria’s lightning field. Hundred of rods lay in a grid out in the middle of nowhere, and you bunk up with strangers - getting to know one another as you cook, drink and slowly take in the visuals. The art is not the rods, or the possible lightning, but the social experience it encourages.

Walk on the mud floors Georgia O’Keeffe walked on, share her vistas and bask in her garden... this home she built for herself is the stuff of dreams

Jean-Claude and Christo’s installation on a lake in northern Italy was a clusterfuck, but it was so neat to see and experience the work of such masters.

Luis Barragan’ homes and buildings are so subtly gorgeous. This one in southern Mexico City was stunning, and the lesser known monastery he built even further south was one of the most moving places I’ve ever visited

An art park outside of Moscow that has 100-yard long trampolines and burning-man es que structures year round.

A band of women (descendants of slaves) in one of the poorest counties in the country make the most gorgeous quilts I’ve ever seen in my life here

I have seen this Robert Irwin installation in Marfa twice, once as the sun was going down, and it is remarkable. It’ll slow you down and set your heart at peace

Documenta 14, a 100 days exhibition that used to take place every 5 years in Kassel, Germany. We visited it with @marc in 2017 and I have great memories of it!

Sophie Calle’s 25 year long project in Greenwood cemetery in brooklyn where she buried the visitors’ secrets! I miss attending art shows at the other side of earth but also great public art in NYC. Where are you Creative Time?! What are you cooking up?!
